HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Charles Cooke scored a career-high 25 points and James Madison snapped a six-game losing streak with an 84-69 victory over High Point on Saturday night.
High Point (3-5) shot 50 percent in the first half but couldn't solve the Dukes' zone after that, finishing at 40 percent. After making six 3-pointers in the first half, the Panthers sank only 1 of 11 in the second.
Trailing by five at halftime, the Dukes (3-8) took the lead for good at 15:53 and extended it to 64-54 at 7:47 after a 21-10 run. High Point only got as close as six after that.
Andrey Semenov scored 16 points as five Dukes finished in double figures. JMU shot 55.1 percent, 47.6 percent from 3-point range (10 of 21).
