Price leads Radford over North Carolina A&T 72-52
RADFORD, Va. -- R.J. Price made 6 of 7 3-pointers on Saturday and Radford took a big lead early, never looking back in a 72-52 victory over North Carolina A&T.
Radford started the game on a 15-2 run and led 40-24 at the half. The Highlanders also had a 24-6 run in the second half capped by two of Price's free throws to pull completely away with a 69-38 lead.
The Highlanders (6-2) shot 10 of 19 from 3-point range and achieved their best start since the 1993-94 season. Price finished with 22 points and Javonte Green added 15 points, six rebounds and four steals.
Richaud Pack led NC A&T (3-6) with 13 points and Bruce Beckford added 11. The Aggies won last year's matchup in Greensboro 81-77, but Radford has never lost to NC A&T at home and leads 6-2 in the all-time series.
