Idaho survives Idaho State's comeback rally 69-65
MOSCOW, Idaho -- Glen Dean scored 18 points on Friday night and made two free throws with 7.9 seconds left to help Idaho hold off Idaho State's comeback rally 69-65.
Idaho (6-6) made 11 of its first 15 field goals in the second half to build a 63-50 lead. The Vandals made no field goals over the final seven minutes, but their 6-of-10 free throw shooting was enough to hold on.
Stephen Madison and Sekou Wiggs each scored 17 for Idaho.
Idaho State (3-5) went on a 14-3 run to pull within 66-64 with 1:08 remaining. The Bengals had the ball with 33 seconds left down only 67-64, but Idaho fouled Chris Hansen before the Bengals could attempt a shot and Hansen made 1 of 2 free throws.
Hansen had 23 points and made 5 of 9 3-pointers for the Bengals. Tomas Sanchez added 15 points and five assists.
