After a Sacred Heart turnover with 5 seconds left, the Pioneers fouled C.J. Garner, who made two free throws to give the Blackbirds (16-13, 11-6) a 70-67 lead.
Phil Gaetano missed the second of two free throws for the Pioneers (9-19, 7-10) with 1 second left, and LIU Brooklyn controlled the rebound.
