NEW YORK -- Denton Koon scored 23 points and Princeton held Columbia to its lowest point total in four years, defeating the Lions 65-40 in an Ivy League game Friday night.
The Tigers (13-9, 6-2) shot 56.1 percent (23 of 41) from the field to 34 percent (16 of 47) for Columbia, which lost 63-35 at Princeton on Feb. 7, 2009.
Friday's loss was the seventh loss in eight games for the Lions (10-13, 2-7), whose only win in that span came against conference leader Harvard.
Ian Hummer scored 13 of his 17 points for Princeton in the first half. The Tigers closed the half with a 15-3 run to take a 36-20 lead, then scored the first six points of the second half.
Maodo Lo scored 15 points to lead Columbia. Steve Frankoski, who had averaged 21 points in the Lions' last three games, was held to six.
