RICHMOND, Ky. -- Glenn Cosey scored 17 points and Eastern Kentucky tied the program record for most wins in a season, routing Austin Peay 91-53 Wednesday night in Ohio Valley Conference play.
Corey Walden chipped in 15 points for the Colonels (22-6, 11-3), who shot a season-high 58.6 percent (34 of 58) from the field.
Eastern Kentucky hit three 3-pointers over the first 5 minutes en route to a 14-4 lead. The Colonels, who hit nine treys in the first half, led 47-28 at intermission.
Eastern Kentucky scored 37 points off 21 turnovers and posted a 21-8 assists-to-turnovers ratio.
Austin Peay (7-21, 3-11), which shot 54 percent (12 of 22) in the first half, went cold after the break, hitting just 6 of 27 against the Ohio Valley Conference's best scoring defense.
Travis Beltran scored 13 points for the Governors, who managed a 31-27 rebounding advantage but were outscored 46-26 in the paint.
