FARGO, N.D. -- TrayVonn Wright scored 17 points, Brett VandenBergh added a career-high 14 and North Dakota State cruised past longtime rival South Dakota 65-46 on Saturday night.
Kory Brown chipped in 10 points for the Bison (18-5, 9-2), which stayed tied with Western Illinois and South Dakota State atop the Summit League standings. Marshall Bjorklund, whose 70.7 percent field-goal shooting percentage entering the game led the nation, was just 2 of 3 from the field but grabbed nine rebounds.
Brandon Bos had 16 points and Trevor Gruis 14 for the Coyotes (8-15, 4-7), who had just eight assists and committed 14 turnovers.
The Bison never trailed after the opening minutes, leading 24-15 at halftime and by as many as 23 in the second half. NDSU shot 51 percent from the floor.
NDSU, which also won at South Dakota last month, now leads 89-76 in a series that dates to the 1922-23 season.
