NEW YORK -- Booker Hucks matched his career high with 20 points off the bench as LIU Brooklyn won its sixth straight game 82-62 over St. Francis (Pa.) Thursday night for a Northeast Conference victory.
Hucks hit a career-high five 3-pointers. The senior is 9-of-13 shooting from deep over his past two games and has made 45.5 percent (15 of 33) from deep in 10.8 minutes per game this season for the Blackbirds (11-10, 6-3).
Jamal Olasewere added 17 points and nine rebounds, C.J. Garner and Brandon Thompson had 14 points and Jason Brickman notched 13 rebounds as LIU Brooklyn won the rebound battle 34-29.
Earl Brown had 22 points for the Red Flash (1-19, 1-8) but grabbed only five rebounds and fell short of a double-double for the third straight game since seeing his seven-game double-double streak end Jan. 24 against Robert Morris.
St. Francis has lost 15 straight on the road.
