Yale 76, Brown 64
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Justin Sears scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Yale to a 76-64 win in overtime against Brown on Saturday.
Austin Morgan finished with 16 points for the Bulldogs (7-12, 1-1 Ivy League), who have won two of their last three games. It's a bounce-back win for Yale, which lost 65-51 to Brown this month.
Brown, which trailed by 11 points in the second half, forced overtime after Tucker Halpern made two free throws to tie the game at 58-all with 55 seconds remaining.
But the Bears (7-9, 1-1) could not keep up with Yale in OT. The Bulldogs used a 7-0 run that was capped by Morgan's two free throws to claim a 70-62 lead with 1:34 left.
Yale continued to surge forward, holding Brown to only two points the rest of the way.
Cedric Kuakumensah and Matt Sullivan each scored 13 points for the Bears.
