ATHENS, Ohio -- Reggie Keely scored a career-high 24 points, making all nine of his shots, to lead Ohio to a 76-67 Mid-American Conference victory over Toledo on Saturday night.
The senior forward has averaged 15.4 points in seven games since being moved into the starting lineup by the Bobcats (13-5, 4-0). They are 6-1 in those games, with wins in the past five.
Ivo Baltic's jumper put Ohio ahead to stay, 37-36, with 18:43 remaining after it trailed 36-33 at halftime, but the Rockets (6-9, 2-2) stayed close, keeping their deficit in single digits for all but 14 seconds the rest of the way.
Walter Offutt scored 14 points and Baltic and Ricardo Johnson had 13 each for Ohio. D.J. Cooper had nine assists, giving him 841 in his career to move into 21st place on the all-time NCAA list.
Matt Smith scored 16 points and Rian Pearson 14 for Toledo.
