HONOLULU -- Corey Hawkins scored 40 points while hitting eight 3-pointers and going a perfect 12 for 12 from the free-throw line for UC Davis in a 93-82 win over Hawaii on Saturday night.

Hawkins added 12 rebounds to his stat total and was 10 for 14 from the field, and 8 for 9 from beyond the arc. He hit seven of his eight 3-pointers in the first half.

Ryan Sypkens hit two 3-pointers in the first 6 minutes of the game to give UC Davis (7-10, 3-3 Big West) the spark it was looking for, taking a 20-9 lead out of the gates. UC Davis hit 16 3-pointers in the game, and shot 52.7 percent from the field while recording 19 assists.

J.T. Adenrele had 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals for UC Davis.

Christian Standhardinger led Hawaii (10-8, 4-3) with 20 points and eight rebounds while Vander Joaquim had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
