EL PASO, Texas -- Konner Tucker scored 12 points and UTEP never trailed Monday night in defeating Houston Baptist 72-44.
Julian Washburn and Cedrick Lang had 11 points each for the Miners (9-6), who led by double figures for most of the second half. Ten Miners scored in the game.
Caleb Crayton had 14 points to lead Houston Baptist (4-13). Art Bernardi had 10 points for the Huskies. Both had a team-high six rebounds.
Washburn and Lang each scored nine points in the first half and UTEP led 31-21 at the break.
