DAVIS, Calif. -- Alan Williams had 28 points and 11 rebounds as UC Santa Barbara held off UC Davis for a 66-59 victory on Saturday night.
T.J. Taylor added 10 points for the Gauchos (6-10, 2/3 Big West).
Corey Hawkins had 23 points and Josh Ritchart 12 for the Aggies (5-10, 1-3). Ritchart and Hawkins each drilled a 3-pointer to get UC Davis within three points in the last two minutes, but UC Santa Barbara withstood both charges.
After Ritchart's shot with 1:48 remaining, Nate Garth hit from behind the arc on the other end to make the score 62-56. Hawkins made his 3-pointer with a minute to play to narrow the lead, the Aggies got the ball back after a Gauchos turnover, but they missed two shots. UC Santa Barbara hit four free throws in the final seven seconds.
Williams, who made 11 of 18 shots from the floor, had his ninth double-double of the season.
