Muhlenberg Mules @ Lehigh Mountain Hawks
Lehigh 81, Muhlenberg 46
BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Anthony D'Orazio scored 15 points, dished out four assists and had three steals to lead Lehigh over Muhlenberg 81-46 Tuesday night in a nonconference matchup.
Holden Greiner added 14, Gabe Knutson 13 and Stegan Cvrkalj 12 for Lehigh, which was without injured leading scorer C.J. McCollum.
Austin Curry led Muhlenberg (8-5) with 15 points while Kevin Hargrove and Malique Killing tallied 14 apiece. The trio accounted for all 12 of Muhlenberg's made attempts from the field. The Mules shot just 20 percent (12 of 58).
Lehigh (10-4) led 13-7 before two Cvrkaji free throws sparked a 19-4 run for the Mountain Hawks over the next 10 minutes. Conroy Baltimore (nine points) capped the run with a dunk as Lehigh led 32-11 with 3:33 left in the first half.
The Mountain Hawks, who shot 47 percent (29 of 61), pulled ahead 52-23 in the second half behind a Knutson layup.
D'Orazio started in place of McCollum.
McCollum, who leads the nation in scoring at 25.7 points per game, fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in the first half of the Mountain Hawks' Jan. 5 matchup with Virginia Commonwealth, which the Rams won 59-55.
The senior underwent successful surgery on his foot Tuesday morning and is expected to miss 8-10 weeks.
"I'm looking forward to treatment and recovery, and then coming back stronger than I left." said McCollum.
