POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Andrew Lawrence tied his season-high with 22 points and Willis Hall turned in his second double-double of the season as College of Charleston won its fourth straight, 85-75, at Marist Monday in nonconference action.
Lawrence shot 7 of 12 from the floor and 3 of 5 from 3-point range to help the Cougars (9-4) shoot 51.8 percent (29 of 56), including 47.1 percent (8 of 17) beyond the arc. Hall also had three blocks, while Anthony Stitt added 19 points and Adjehi Baru 12.
Chavaughn Lewis scored in double figures for the sixth straight game, netting 23 points for Marist (4-9). The sophomore is averaging 18.8 points over that six-game stretch after scoring 8.1 per contest through the team's first seven games.
Charleston is now 5-0 on the road this year, the most road wins by an undefeated team in Division I.
The loss was Marist's third in a row.
