KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Brandon Pokley scored 12 points to help Western Michigan top High Point 54-53 on Thursday night.
Darius Paul scored 10 points. Pokley and Paul have scored in double figures in each of the past five games. Shayne Whiittington grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Broncos (5-1) led 33-21 at halftime in a game that saw seven lead changes.
High Point (3-3) made 19 points off turnovers, while Western Michigan made 14.
Adam Weary scored 11 points -- two from 3-point range -- for High Point. John Brown, Allan Chaney and Lorenzo Cugini scored 10 points apiece. Chaney also grabbed seven rebounds.
Western Michigan has won five consecutive games.
