Harvard Crimson @ Cornell Big Red
Harvard tops Cornell, locks up share of Ivy
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Oliver McNally made four free throws in the final 20 seconds as Harvard held off Cornell 67-63 Saturday night to clinch at least a share of its second straight Ivy League title.
With Pennsylvania's victory over Yale, the Crimson (26-4, 12-2), who have concluded their regular season, need a Quakers loss Tuesday at Princeton to clinch the crown outright and earn an NCAA tournament berth for the first time since making their only appearance in 1946.
After the Big Red (12-16, 7-7) took their first lead at 30-29, Brandyn Curry hit four straight 3-pointers to give the Crimson a 41-34 advantage with 14:04 left.
Harvard built an 11-point lead, but Cornell closed to 56-55 with 3:54 remaining. After Kyle Casey's layup, McNally scored the Crimson's final nine points to finish with 17.
Chris Wroblewski's 19 points led the Big Red, who also lost to the Crimson 71-60 on Feb. 3.
