SAN ANTONIO -- Jeromie Hill scored 16 points and Michael Hale III and Igor Nujic added 10 points each to lead UTSA to a 59-51 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday night.
The Roadrunners (15-9, 7-3 Southland) snapped a two-game losing streak.
Jeremy Campbell had 10 points for the Lions (8-14, 2-8).
Nujic, a reserve averaging 4.7 points a game, picked up the slack on a night when leading scorer Melvin Johnson III was the main focus of the opposing defense. Johnson was held to five points on 1 of 6 shooting in 23 minutes.
In a game that featured nine ties and 10 lead changes, Campbell's layup got Southeastern Louisiana within 53-51 with two minutes remaining, but he was called for a foul on the play, and Nujic hit both free throws.
Seconds later, Hale made a steal and scored on a layup to increase UTSA's lead to six points. The Lions' last three possessions ended with a turnover, three missed free throws by Todd Nelson and a missed 3-point attempt by Campbell.
