HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Antoine Agudio scored six of his 30 points in overtime to help Hofstra beat Manhattan 73-71 on Saturday night.
Trailing 61-59, Manhattan's Devon Austin put back a miss with 1.1 seconds left to tie the game.
Charles Jenkins gave Hofstra (1-1) the two-point lead hitting two free throws with 44.5 seconds left in the second half.
Pat Bouli scored the first basket of overtime for Manhattan (2-1), but Arminas Urbutis followed with two free throws and a jumper to put the Pride ahead for good 65-63 at 3:14.
Hofstra led 27-17 with 5:11 left in the first half before Manhattan went on a 13-6 run to close the period. The Pride held a 33-30 advantage at the break.
