HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) -- Jeremy Thomas came off the bench to
score a career high 17 points, including five 3-pointers, to help
lead Sam Houston State to a 75-61 win over Texas State on Thursday.
Chris Jordan added 14 points and Jejaun Plair had 12 for the
Bearkats (18-7, 9-4 Southland). Ryan Bright added 10 points and had
a team-high eight rebounds.
The Bearkats, who led 33-29 at the half, started the second half
with a 7-0 run and led by at least eight points for the rest of the
game. They hit 62 percent of their second-half field goals,
compared to 29 percent shooting by Texas State (3-21, 1-12).
Chris Langhorne led the Bobcats with 17 points, and Brandon Bush
came off the bench to score 13.
