NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Wayne Williams scored 26 points to lead New

Orleans to a 79-75 victory over Troy Thursday night.

Williams was 10-of-16 from the field, made two 3-pointers and

was 4-of-6 from the free throw line. James Parlow added 12 points

and Nathaniel Parker had a double-double, scoring 10 points and

grabbing 10 rebounds for the Privateers (5-9, 2-1 Sun Belt).

Sammy Sharp led Troy (7-7, 0-2) with 21 points. Bobby Dixon

added 15 and Cedric Jackson finished with 11.

Troy saw its largest lead of the game -- 12 points -- with 5:33

left to go in the first half. New Orleans was up seven, its biggest

lead, with just 57 seconds left to play.
