ELON, N.C. (AP) -- Chris Chalko scored 21 points and Brett James

scored 13 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Elon to an

87-63 win Monday over Guilford.

Chalko's scoring and James' double-double all were career highs

at 2-5 Elon, which outrebounded the Quakers 30-7 on offense.

Guilford (4-2) was led by Ben Strong with 12 points and Jordan

Snipes with 9.

Guilford's only lead was 2-0 on a Thomas Burge jump shot five

seconds into the game. After that, Elon took control and built a

37-18 lead by the half that it didn't relinquish.
