East Carolina 66, Wofford 62

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Corey Rouse scored 15 points and pulled

down 11 rebounds as East Carolina beat Wofford 66-62 on Wednesday

night.

The Pirates (3-1) swept a home-and-home series with the

Terriers. They beat Wofford 70-68 in overtime on Saturday.

East Carolina trailed 44-41 with just under 14 minutes to go

before going on a 16-4 run.

The Terriers (2-4) cut the deficit to 57-54 with just over three

minutes to go, but Japhet McNeil scored the next five points to

give the Pirates a 62-54 lead with 31 seconds to go.

Drew Gibson led Wofford with a career-high 13 points.Tyler Berg

and Shane Nichols each scored 11 for the Terriers.

Sam Hinnant had 15 points, while McNeil added 10 for East

Carolina.
