LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) -- Jerry Johnson scored 28 points,

including the 2,000th of his career, to lead Rider to a 113-106

overtime win over Niagara in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference

game on Saturday.

Niagara (18-9, 13-5 MAAC) rallied to tie the score in the final

seconds of regulation, but the Broncs (17-10, 13-5 MAAC) sealed the

win with an 11-2 run early in the extra period. Edwin Muniz and

Robert Taylor both added 23 points for Rider, while Jason Thompson

had 15 points and eight rebounds.

David Brooks had 31 points for the Purple Eagles, while Juan

Mendez added 29 points and 14 rebounds.

The Broncs' victory means the two teams will share the Metro

Atlantic Athletic Conference's regular-season title, although

Niagara holds the tiebreaker and will be the top seed in the

conference tournament.
