SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Sam Daniels scored 14 points and had
nine rebounds as Wofford beat Erskine 74-36 on Monday night.
The Terriers (8-4) held the Flying Fleet scoreless for the more
than eight minutes to start the game, and allowed the fewest points
since beating Claflin 79-35 in 1985.
Wofford forced 27 turnovers and held Erskine (1-5) to just
4-of-19 (21 percent) shooting in the first half to lead 32-9 at the
break.
Howard Wilkerson scored 11 and Eric Marshall added 10 points for
the Terriers, who are off to their best start since becoming a
Division I team 10 years ago.
Craig Williams led the Flying Fleet with 16 points and six
rebounds.
