INSIDE THE MISSISSIPPI STATE BULLDOGS' CLASS
Vic Schaefer now boasts a trio of Top 100 prospects in his five-player class.
No. 9 Rickea Jackson, who committed to Mississippi State on Friday of signing week, is the gem. She's a shot-maker and a difference-maker, a two-time state champion and the reigning Gatorade player of the year in Michigan.
Jayla Hemingway, a hard-working 5-9 guard who averaged 21.7 points and 7.2 rebounds as a junior at Houston High (Germantown, Tennessee), is ranked 88th.
JaMya Young, a 5-7 point guard from Louisiana's Loranger, averaged 21.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists as a junior and led Loranger to a state title.
Rounding out the class is a pair of prospects who have done a whole lot of winning at national powerhouses. Esmery Martinez is a 6-foot forward at Hamilton Heights Christian (Chattanooga, Tennessee), and Aliyah Matharu is a 5-7 point guard at Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Maryland).
