The early signing period certainly seemed like a tall tale for Scott Rueck and the Beavers, who have landed the rare combination of size and versatility -- twice over.

Kennedy Brown, the No. 19 prospect, is a confident 6-6 post player at Derby (Kansas) who has the will and the skill to play a variety of positions. "She's very versatile," high school coach Jodie Karsak said. "Just a big sense of finesse to her."

The Beavers have also signed 6-3 post player Taylor Jones of Dallas Christian in Texas. The nimble Jones is the No. 42 prospect in the class.
