INSIDE THE SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS' CLASS
In a November to remember for Dawn Staley, the rich just kept getting richer.
First came a commitment from No. 7 Zia Cooke, an electric 5-9 point guard out of Rogers (Toledo, Ohio) who has two gold medals with USA Basketball.
Then came a commitment from No. 13 Breanna Beal, a 6-foot wing and a two-time Illinois Gatorade player of the year.
On the first day of the early signing period, No. 10 Laeticia Amihere added an exclamation point to the class when she, too, chose the Gamecocks.
On the final day of the early signing period, No. 3 Aliyah Boston, a three-time USA Basketball gold medalist and two-time reigning Gatorade player of the year in Massachusetts, sent the class to the stratosphere.
Those four joined athletic in-state point guard Olivia Thompson to form the undisputed No. 1 class in the country.
