INSIDE THE NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH'S CLASS
She didn't sign any more players during the regular signing period, but Muffet McGraw's 2016 class seemed to improve by the day.
Erin Boley, ranked fifth in the nation, is an elite forward who has starred at Elizabethtown (Kentucky), one of the elite programs in the nation. On top of her scoring ability, the 6-foot-2 Boley also brings leadership qualities, an off-the-charts work ethic and an almost professional level of consistency. She was named the Gatorade national player of the year and a McDonald's All American.
Jackie Young, a 5-11 guard, will remind Irish fans of none other than Jewell Loyd. Young is outstanding off the dribble and can score, score and score some more. Like Loyd, Young is a huge threat with the ball in her hands. As a senior, Young became Indiana's most prolific scorer -- boy or girl -- ever. She, too, was a McDonald's All American and was named the Naismith player of the year.
