Arjun Atwal scored +4 under Modified Stableford scoring rules, missing the cut narrowly, in the second round of the PGA Tour Barracuda Championship in Reno, Nevada on Friday.

His cumulative score of +6 was one short of the cut set at +7, even as Australia's Greg Chalmers led with +24 after 36 holes at the Montreux Golf and Country Club.

Atwal began with a birdie on the 584-yard par-five 2nd, but then ended up with a bogey on the 186-yard par-three 3rd. His second bogey of the day came on the par-three 7th, before birdies on the 413-yard par-four 10th and the 616-yard par-five 18th.

As per the rules of the competition, this gave him +6 points for the birdies and -2 for the two bogeys, and he would just lose out on making a sixth cut in his ninth appearance at this tournament.
