Jaco Van Zyl, James Morrison and Rafael Cabrera-Bello secured qualification for The Open at St Andrews after claiming the three available spots up for grabs at the Open de France.
Despite falling short in their pursuit of Austrian Bernd Wiesberger (who himself has already guaranteed a spot at the home of golf) at the Alstom Open de France the trio did enough to earn themselves a shot at the coveted Claret Jug from July 16-19.
The three spots were available to those who finished in the top ten at Le Golf National but who were not already exempt for The Open.
Wiesberger eased to victory at the venue for the 2018 Ryder Cup after posting weekend rounds of 66 and 65. Englishman Morrison's final round 67 to end up at ten under par enabled him to secure second place outright, two clear of third round leader Van Zyl, who shot 74 to finish eight under.
With Martin Kaymer finishing fourth and having long since guaranteed his place at the third major championship of the year, it fell to Spaniard Cabrera-Bello in fifth to take the final available spot.
