Micky van de Ven picked up an injury on Sunday but the Netherlands manager has played down fears over a potential absence.
Van de Van had to be substsituted in his side's 2-1 win over Serbia in the Nations League with a hand injury.
Luka Jovic, the Serbia striker, landed on Van de Ven. But Xavi, the Netherlands coach, claimed it was "not a big problem."
Tottenham will assess the centre back over the coming days before their return to Premier League action against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Fellow Tottenham and Netherlands defender Jan Paul van Hecke was already an injury headache for his club. Van Hecke suffered a foot injury on Sept. 27 in Netherlands' previous clash against Serbia which forced him to withdraw from his international squad.
Van de Ven has been given the armband at the age of 25 and after three years in N17.
Club legend Ledley King said: "I think he's a fantastic player. His new role now is to make the players around him better.

"I think Micky takes care of himself. His ability to recover and put fires out is something we've seen over the last few years. That's an important element for the team.
"So, I think the next role is to manage the group and get the best out of the group as a team.
"He's grown into the role. Having seen Micky on the pitch, he leads by example, for sure and I think he was the right choice to be captain."
