England put on a perfect display as they defeated Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka to give themselves a strong chance of reaching the Nations League quarterfinals.

In front of 6,000 Croatian school children and 100 England fans due to the match being 'behind closed doors,' England were absolutely dominant.

Harry Kane scored twice, taking his England tally to 89 goals, with a goal in each half, while Bukayo Saka was also on the scoresheet twice, netting England's fourth before half time and their sixth midway through the second half.

Jude Bellingham laid on three assists and scored one of his own, while Anthony Gordon continued his magnificent form with a third goal in three Nations League matches and also an assist.

Chelsea's Morgan Rogers completed the rout in the 87th minute to seal a thoroughly deserved win for the Three Lions.

Kane got the ruthless show on the road after eight minutes, receiving Bellingham's pass and smashing the ball past Dominik Livakovic in the Croatia goal.

Bellingham made it 2-0 after 21 minutes, finishing from very close range thanks to Anthony Gordon's touch to control a Bukayo Saka cross.

The Barcelona forward made it four goals in four England games when he headed in Jarell Quansah's pinpoint cross six minutes from time and before long it was 4-0 at the break with Saka turning in a Bellingham cross.

Thomas Tuchel's men could have been forgiven for letting up after the break but they did not, with Kane adding his second of the night after eight minutes to score England's fifth before Saka and then Rogers turned a rout into a humiliation.
