Dancer extraordinaire Misty Copeland added another milestone to her résumé this week when she was named the first black female principal dancer in the 75-year history of the American Ballet Theatre.
Copeland, who gained mainstream fame last summer with her incredible Under Armour commercial, had previously been a soloist for the famed dance company but moves into rarified air with her latest promotion.
She posted a video of the ABT's announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, and it's really, really something you need to see. Although you might want to have a tissue handy.
Congrats, Misty! Keep on blazing that trail.
