Lucknow Super Giants chose to bowl vs Kolkata Knight Riders

In the battle of two bottom-placed teams, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders in Lucknow. KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said they were anyway looking to bat first, rendering the toss inconsequential.

Pant said he was confident of a turnaround. LSG made one change, bringing in George Linde for M Siddharth. On the teamsheet, Aiden Markram was listed as opener alongside Mitchell Marsh, with Ayush Badoni marked at No. 5.

KKR were unchanged, which meant there was no Matheesha Pathirana just yet.

The match is being played on pitch no. 6, which has been unused so far this season. It is a black-soil surface, with the two square boundaries measuring 64 metres and 69 metres. The straight boundary is 73 metres.
