MLS Cup-winning coach and former U.S. international Steve Cherundolo has been named manager of the U.S. U-23 national team that will represent the U.S. at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He was most recently manager of Los Angeles FC, where he won an MLS Cup and Supporters Shield double in 2022 and the U.S. Open Cup in 2024. As a player, he made 87 appearances for the USMNT and was part of three World Cup squads.
