Week:

It's Week 5 of the espnW 25 Power Rankings, and we have our fourth different team at No. 1.

Hopkins (MN) jumps to the top spot over undefeated and idle Detroit Edison Academy (MI) after dismantling a very good Aquinas (WI) 78-57 at home. Hopkins is abundant with talent, led by top prospect Paige Bueckers, who is averaging 21 points per game and has amassed over 3,000 points in her prep career. Helping her are sophomore Maya Nnaji, a 6-4 power forward/center who is averaging 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and unsigned guard Kayhla Adams, an athletic prospect with tremendous range. Oh, and Hopkins also has a 44-game winning streak.

Mater Dei (CA) looks to continue its recent dominance in California, competing with former No. 1 teams La Jolla Country Day and Sierra Canyon. Don't sleep on No. 24 Long Beach Poly, which enters the poll for the first week with wins over Mater Dei, Corona Centennial and La Jolla Country Day. -- Dan Olson
