espnW 25 Power Rankings: Week 7

Week:

There's a whole lot of Hayes going on at Riverdale (Murfreesboro, Tennessee). Led by 36 points from Tennessee signee Anastasia Hayes, Riverdale cruised past crosstown rival Blackman (former home of current UConn freshman Crystal Dangerfield) and improved to 17-0 on the season. The Hayes sisters -- freshman Alasia Hayes and sophomore Aislynn Hayes are the other stars-in-the making -- combined for 56 points in the 88-62 win. With the convincing victory, Riverdale moves up to No. 8 in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 7.

Powerhouse Paul VI, meanwhile, didn't budge from the top spot and added two more wins. A tough game against No. 11 St. John's College is on the schedule for Tuesday night.

St. Mary's (Stockton, California) fell out of the rankings after dropping back-to-back games to Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Maryland) and Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa, California). St. Mary's superstar Aquira DeCosta is out after injuring her knee and undergoing surgery.
