JMU holds off New Hampshire 42-39 in Colonial unbeatens
DURHAM, N.H. -- Bryan Shor passed for 242 yards and four touchdowns -- and ran for another -- as James Madison survived a 27-point fourth-quarter rally to defeat New Hampshire 42-39 in a clash of Colonial Athletic Association unbeaten teams on Saturday.
New Hampshire (4-3, 3-1 CAA), which threw a school-record 70 passes, scored four touchdowns in the final 7:01 while cutting a 30-point JMU lead to 3 with 1:15 remaining. The Wildcats' onside kick was recovered by James Madison's Domo Taylor at the 49. Two plays later, the Dukes (6-1, 4-0) snapped New Hampshire's 17-game regular-season home win streak and won for the first time in Durham in 10 years.
James Madison scored the winning points when New Hampshire bobbled a kickoff and Charles Tutt barely broke stride to collect the ball on the bounce and run it in from about 11 yards out, making the score 42-12.
