Edmonds scores 4 times, leads Fordham over Penn 31-17
NEW YORK -- Chase Edmonds ran for 152 yards, added 49 yards receiving, and scored four total touchdowns to help lead Fordham to a 31-17 win over Penn on Saturday.
Kevin Anderson threw for 231 yards and one TD and Austin Longi added 92 yards receiving for the Rams (2-1).
Edmonds scored three times in the first half and Fordham opened up a 24-10 lead at halftime.
Penn responded late in the third on an Alek Torgersen 2-yard plunge which cut the score to 24-17. The Quakers (0-2) had an opportunity to tie it late but were turned away on downs at the Fordham 27-yard line.
Edmonds added his fourth score on the ensuing drive to put the game out of reach.
Torgersen had 125 yards passing for Penn.
Fordham has won three straight in the series and is now 25-2 at home since 2012, third best in FCS during that time frame.
