Princeton cruises past Brown 31-7
PRINCETON, N.J. -- John Lovett threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score to lead Princeton to a 31-7 win over Brown on Saturday.
James Frusciante hauled in both of Lovett's touchdown throws, a 4-yard toss in the first quarter and 7-yarder in the second. Lovett's 7-yard rushing TD came just before halftime and Tavish Rice had a 32-yard field goal for Princeton (4-1, 2-0 Ivy) in the third quarter.
Chad Kanoff put the Tigers on the board in the first quarter with a 33-yard touchdown throw to Isaiah Barnes. Kanoff finished 16 of 23 for 185 yards passing with no interceptions but was sacked three times.
Brown (1-4, 0-2) was held scoreless until late in the fourth quarter when Thomas Linta connected with Jaelon Blandburg for a 5-yard touchdown pass to cap a 68-yard drive with 1:01 left. Linta finished 18 of 36 for 148 yards passing with two interceptions.
