Corey Davis tops 4,000, W. Michigan beats NC Central 70-21
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Corey Davis surpassed 4,000 career yards receiving on Saturday night and Western Michigan beat North Carolina Central 70-21 in a game that ended a few minutes past midnight.
Davis had seven catches for 150 yards and his third three-touchdown game of his career with the Broncos (2-0). He finished the night ranked 15th on the all-time FBS list with 4,005 career yards receiving.
Western Michigan hit 70 points for the first time since 1996. The Broncos led 42-21 when the game was delayed at halftime and scored two touchdowns in each of the quarters after the break.
Zach Terrell threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns. Jamauri Bogan ran for 131 yards, LeVante Bellamy added 121 and Jarvion Franklin had 91 on the ground, each with a TD run.
LaVontis Smith had six catches for 137 yards and a touchdown for North Carolina Central (0-2).
