Victor Williams paces Dartmouth past Sacred Heart 49-7
HANOVER, N.H. -- Victor Williams had career highs of 11 catches and 178 yards receiving on Saturday night, helping Dartmouth win its home opener over Sacred Heart 49-7.
His 60-yard TD catch in the second quarter gave the Big Green (2-0) a 35-0 lead with 4:03 left in the first half.
Dalyn Williams, who finished 21 of 28 for 314 yards, had 275 yards passing in the first half, including a touchdown pass and run.
Sacred Heart (2-2) got on the scoreboard late in the third quarter on Nate Chavious' 1-yard run.
Dartmouth answered with an eight-play, 60-yard drive, capped by Ryder Stone's second TD run, and David Caldwell returned an interception 77 yards to cap the scoring midway through the fourth. Stone finished with 72 yards on seven carries.
Jackson King had six catches for 100 yards to lead the Pioneers.
