Bucknell beats Georgetown 17-7
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Brandon Wesley threw for 112 yards and a touchdown to lead Bucknell to a 17-7 victory over Georgetown on Saturday.
Wesley was 14 of 21 on the day, hitting Josh Brake for a touchdown early in the second after a scoreless first quarter. Running back C.J. Williams led the ground game for Bucknell (5-5, 3-2 Patriot) with 67 yards on 19 carries.
The Bison scored a pair of touchdowns and a Sean Cobelli field goal in the second quarter to lead 17-0 at the break but were shut out in the second half. The lone Georgetown scoring drive -- an 11-play, 71-yard march -- took place midway through the fourth as Dalen Claytor took the ball in from one yard out. Quarterback Kyle Nolan was 20 of 37 for 149 yards passing.
The Hoyas have now lost eight straight and are winless in the Patriot Conference.
