Kent State powers past Western Michigan 32-14
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Trayion Durham ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns to power Kent State to a 32-14 victory over Western Michigan Saturday night.
In addition to Durham, running back Dri Archer and quarterback Colin Reardon each added more than 50 yards on the ground for the Golden Flashes (2-3, 1-1 Mid-American Conference). Archer also caught four balls for 48 yards, including a touchdown.
Reardon threw for 176 yards for two touchdowns.
Western Michigan (0-5, 0-1), down 15-7 at halftime, forced a punt and drove 93 yards for a touchdown on the ensuing drive. Tyler Van Tubbergen hit Josh Schaffer for a 12-yard score to make it 15-14.
Kent State responded as Durham capped a 12-play drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. The Golden Flashes defense did the rest, stifling the Broncos and forcing two Van Tubbergen interceptions.
Brian Fields ran for 101 yards and a score for Western Michigan.
