Chattanooga Mocs @ Furman Paladins
Chattanooga 31, Furman 10
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jacob Huesman tossed a pair of touchdowns to Terrell Robinson and Chattanooga pulled away late in a 31-10 win over Furman in Southern Conference action Saturday.
Huesman and Robinson spent the game rotating between quarterback and receiver. Huesman was 18-for-23 passing for 171 yards and also caught three passes for 32 yards, while Robinson caught eight balls for 81 yards and was 7-for-10 passing for 86 yards.
Furman (2-5, 1-3) jumped to an early 7-3 advantage, but Chattanooga erased that as Huesman hit Robinson for touchdowns late in the second quarter and then midway through the third.
Paladins' kicker Ray Early's field goal cut the Mocs' lead to 17-10, but a 6-yard rushing touchdown by Robinson and a 10-yard rushing strike by J.J. Jackson helped Chattanooga (3-3,2-1) pull away in the fourth quarter.
The win was the Mocs' fourth in 25 matchups with Furman since 1988.
