Texas A&M-Commerce Lions @ UT San Antonio Roadrunners
UTSA 27, Texas A&M-Commerce 16
SAN ANTONIO -- David Glasco II ran for two touchdowns, Eric Soza had 159 yards passing and a score, and Texas-San Antonio stayed perfect in its first Football Bowl Subdivision season Saturday, beating Texas A&M-Commerce 27-16.
Glasco scored on two short runs in the second quarter and finished with 58 yards on the ground for the Roadrunners (2-0), who led 27-3 before two late scores by the Lions (0-2). Soza hooked up with Kenny Harrison for an 8-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Sean Ianno, who drilled a career-long 51-yard field goal with 16 seconds left to beat South Alabama in the Roadrunners' opener, made both his attempts Saturday, including a 46-yarder.
The Lions' Deric Davis threw for 175 yards and hit Garrett Smith and Tevin Godfrey for scores, but Texas A&M Commerce, a Division II program, could do nothing on the ground, managing just 16 yards rushing on 22 attempts.
