Eastern Michigan 38, Buffalo 14

AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) -- Eric Deslauriers caught two touchdown

passes from Matt Bohnet as Eastern Michigan beat Buffalo 38-14

Saturday in the Mid-American Conference.

Deslauriers, a Quebec native, broke the career record for

touchdown receptions at Eastern Michigan (4-7, 3-5 MAC) with 22. He

caught 10 passes Saturday for 105 yards.

Anthony Sherrell added two touchdowns and rushed for 112 yards

on 15 carries. Bohnet was 10-for-17 for 99 yards before leaving in

the third quarter with an injury. Tyler Jones threw for another 48

yards, completing 5 of 11 while rushing for 54 yards.

In head coach Jim Hofher's last game, Buffalo had 441 yards of

offense but gave up five turnovers. Hofher has coached the Bulls

since 2001 and finished 8-49.

Drew Willy threw for second quarter scores to Chad Upshaw and

Jeff Green for Buffalo (1-10, 1-7 MAC). Willy was intercepted four

times, with a pick returned by Michael Richardson 43 yards for a

touchdown.

Eastern Michigan scored first when Sherrell took a pitch from

Jones and ran 47 yards. Buffalo answered with a 9 play, 57 yard

drive capped by Willy's pass to Upshaw.

Eastern Michigan drove 73 yards, scored on Deslauriers' 18-yard

catch, and increased its lead to 17-7 on Andrew Wellcock's

school-record 52-yard field goal.
