News: 33 minutes agoBranch (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest at Pittsburgh, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Spin: Branch opened Week 1 prep with back-to-back limited sessions due to a hamstring injury, but a full session Friday has him in the clear to make his pro debut this weekend. It's unclear what kind of role can be expected of the rookie third-round pick on offense as he jostles for snaps behind position mates Drake London, Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus, but Branch at least should get on the field as a punt returner.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Branch was selected by the Falcons in the third round of April's draft. Branch is a tiny slot receiver who posted an extremely low 5.2 aDOT during 37 collegiate games. That limited his efficiency numbers a bit, though he caught 71% of his targets and was terrific after the catch (7.9 RAC). Branch has the look of a versatile (perhaps gadget) player who will help as a rusher, slot receiver and returner. That role makes him a longshot for consistent fantasy output, but he does have a path to No. 2 receiver duties behind Drake London with the likes of Olamide Zaccheaus and Jahan Dotson his primary competition. Branch should only be drafted in dynasty.
