News: 21 hours agoAllen rushed 24 times for 116 yards and a touchdown while catching one of four targets for no gain in Sunday's 17-12 win over the Browns.
Spin: Allen ran in the go-ahead 22-yard touchdown with 3:01 remaining, and the Jets' defense held twice after that to secure the team's second win of the season. The 2024 fourth-round pick handled lead-back duties for the second consecutive game in the absence of Breece Hall (quadriceps), notching 25 touches to Isaiah Davis' three. After reaching 100 rushing yards in a game for the first time in his career, Allen would be in line for another substantial workload in Week 6 against the Patriots if Hall remains sidelined.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hopes were high for Allen entering 2025, but a slow start was followed by a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. During Weeks 1-3, Allen played 28% of the Jets' snaps and totaled 67 yards and one touchdown on 16 touches. The 2024 fourth-round pick has shown he can contribute as both a rusher (110 career carries) and receiver (32 targets), but he's simply not going to see the field much as long as feature back Breece Hall is healthy. Allen, 22, has some late-round insurance stash appeal, as he'd likely start over Isaiah Davis in the event of a Hall injury and would thus find himself on the flex radar.
